The annual junior athletics competition will be held in Trinidad and Tobago in 2025, marking the first time in 20 years that this country has hosted the Carifta Games.

The Dwight Yorke Stadium in Bacolet, Tobago, served as the site of the last Carifta Games hosted by T&T in 2005.

Trinidad and Tobago finished third in the medal standings at the 50th Carifta Games in 2023, winning a total of 25 medals, including 9 gold, 10 silver, and 12 bronze. Jamaica took first place with 78 total medals earned.

Yorke wins Australian Cup as manager

In his first year as the manager of a professional football team, Dwight Yorke has won the Australian Cup.

Yorke’s team MacArthur FC won the Australian Cup final 2-0 over Sydney United.

Yorke, who was appointed manager of the A-League team in May 2022 has led an undefeated team this season.
